Popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani recently shared an emotional video on social media, breaking his silence for the first time after the ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy. Ashish, who was a panelist on the show, was summoned for interrogation along with fellow YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia.
In his Instagram video, Ashish expressed his feelings, saying, “Aplogon ke messages padhe maine. Maine socha ki story pe aake alogon se baat kar leta hun lekin ab samajh nahi aa raha kya kahun. Lad lenge situation se, dekhe hain aise tough times, isse bhi kuch naya seekh lenge. Main aap sabse bas yahi request karta hoon ki meri family aur mujhe apni prayers mein rakhna. Jab bhi main wapas aaun, mera kaam thoda idhar-udhar ho gaya, but jab bhi wapas aayein ap support karna. I will work hard, and I have always worked hard. Dhyaan rakho sablog apna.โ
(“I have read your messages. I thought of coming on my story and talking to you all, but now I donโt know what to say. We will fight through this situation. We have seen tough times before, and we will learn something new from this as well. I just request all of you to keep my family and me in your prayers. Whenever I returnโmy work has been affected a littleโbut whenever I come back, please support me. I will work hard, and I have always worked hard. Take care, everyone.”)
Fans and celebrities quickly flooded the comments with support for Ashish.
The controversy erupted when Ranveer, during the show, asked an inappropriate question to a contestant. His remarks sparked massive backlash online, leading him to issue a public apology. Several FIRs were lodged against him, and comedian Samay Raina, who hosted the show, had to delete all its episodes from YouTube. Recently, both Ranveer and Ashish appeared to record their statements in the case.
Meanwhile, in a recent hearing, the Supreme Court allowed Ranveer to continue airing his podcasts, considering that he employs 280 people. The court noted that the livelihood of 280 employees depended on the continuation of his show. The case remains ongoing, and further developments are awaited.
