The ongoing COVID Pandemic has badly hit the Film industry and thus the makers had to release their new films on OTT Platforms as the theatres were shut due to the lockdown.
Joining the league, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s ‘Shershaah’ has also moved towards the OTT space for its release. The movie was scheduled for a theatrical release on July 2nd, 2021 but later got postponed due to the pandemic situation.
Finally, the makers have announced that the movie is going to have an OTT release. ‘Shershaah’ will be released on Amazon Prime Video on August 12th, 2021.
The plot of ‘Shershaah’ is based on the real life story of Captain Vikram Batra, the Hero of Kargil War. Sidharth Malhotra plays Captain Vikram Batra in the movie while Kiara plays his fiance Dimple Cheema. The film is directed by VishnuVardhan and co-produced by Karan Johar.
Sidharth Malhotra plays a double role in the movie; Vikram Batra and his identical twin Vishal Batra.
