Asha Bhosle was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday after she suffered extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. Early reports suggested a possible cardiac arrest, which raised concern among fans across the country. Soon after, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle shared an update on X, clarifying her condition and requesting privacy. She assured fans that doctors had started treatment and hoped for recovery.
Hospital sources revealed that doctors brought the veteran singer to the ICU in an unconscious state. Medical teams monitored her condition closely, but her health continued to decline despite efforts.
Family Confirms Demise, Last Rites Details Announced
On Sunday, Anand Bhosle addressed the media and confirmed his mother’s passing. He invited fans and well-wishers to pay their last respects at her Lower Parel residence at 11 am on Monday. He also announced that the family will perform her last rites at Shivaji Park at 4 pm.
