The latest episode of Netflix’s reality show Lock Upp 2 brought a tense moment for contestant Dheeraj Dhoopar. Jailer Riteish Deshmukh called the actor into the jailer’s room and issued a final warning after Dheeraj’s family allegedly tried to send him strategy notes from outside.
The incident happened after the makers allowed Dheeraj to meet his son, Zayn Dhoopar, on humanitarian grounds. According to Riteish, someone from Dheeraj’s family allegedly attempted to slip handwritten chits during the meeting. However, the show’s security team noticed the attempt and stopped the notes from reaching the actor.
Addressing Dheeraj, Riteish reminded him that contestants cannot receive any outside assistance. He said, “You all know that meeting anyone from outside without permission is not allowed. We allowed you to meet your family only on humanitarian grounds. During that meeting, there was an attempt to secretly smuggle in some notes, which you were not aware of.”
Riteish then revealed that the incident did not end there. He said the security team caught another similar attempt when Dheeraj received belongings from his home. According to him, hidden chits inside those items contained instructions on how to play the game and outsmart the other inmates.
Showing the intercepted notes to Dheeraj, Riteish said, “These are the chits. You can’t read them, but they contained strategies on how to win this game. Our security team checked everything and stopped them from reaching you. We believe this wasn’t your fault, but your family certainly made a mistake.”
The jailer further explained that the makers had ignored the first attempt. However, after another similar incident, they decided to issue an official warning in private. “This is the last warning. I am telling you this privately. If it happens again, we will have to take stricter action,” Riteish told Dheeraj.
Reacting to the warning, Dheeraj made it clear that he had no role in the incident. He requested his family and supporters not to send any more notes. “Please don’t do this again. I am playing my own game. I don’t need any external help or support in this way,” the actor said.
With Riteish Deshmukh issuing a final warning, all eyes are now on Dheeraj Dhoopar’s journey in Lock Upp 2.
