On November 1, Kartik took to Instagram to share the exciting update with his fans. The actor posted a picture from the film’s set, holding a clapboard with the title Naagzilla. Sharing his excitement, Kartik captioned the photo,

As revealed, the fantasy-comedy Naagzilla is scheduled to release on 14th August 2026, just in time for the Independence Day weekend. The film is directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who previously helmed the popular Fukrey series, known for its quirky humor and mass appeal.
Backed by a stellar team of producers – Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain – Naagzilla is shaping up to be one of the most awaited films of 2026.
Earlier in April this year, Karan Johar had officially announced the project with a teaser revealing Kartik’s mysterious look from behind. Karan had written,
