This election season, renowned actor and filmmaker Kangana Ranaut is stepping into the political arena. Representing the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), she is set to contest in the Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh, her birthplace.
In light of her commitment to serve the nation through politics, Kangana’s upcoming film ‘Emergency’ faces another delay in its release. The official announcement came from Manikarnika Films, the production banner she heads.
The announcement reads – “Our hearts are filled with love pouring in for our queen Kangana Ranaut. As she prioritises her duty to the nation and her commitment to serve the country, the release date of our much awaited film ‘Emergency’ has been postponed. We promise to update you soon with a new release date. Thank you for your continued support. #EmergencyComingSoon.”

Originally slated for release on November 24, 2023, ‘Emergency’ had its date shifted to June 14th, 2024, due to Kangana’s busy schedule. Kangana portrays the role of India’s former Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi, in the film.
With a star-studded cast including Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman and the late Satish Kaushik, the film promises a compelling narrative. Directed and written by Kangana herself, ‘Emergency’ is set to offer a gripping portrayal of a pivotal moment in India’s political history.
