Popular television actress Garvita Sadhwani has officially confirmed her exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The actress, who played the beloved character Ruhi Birla, took to Instagram to pen an emotional note, announcing her departure and thanking fans for their constant love and support.
Garvita wrote, “This is to confirm my exit from YRKKH. Overwhelmed with all the love and acceptance you gave to Ruhi – a fictional character that felt so real. For 1.5 years, I gave my heart and soul trying to deliver the most honest performance possible.”
She further added that the journey helped her grow both as an actor and as a person. Describing Ruhi as “an emotion, as human and as grey as it gets,” Garvita shared her bittersweet feelings about bidding goodbye to a character so close to her heart. “I had my ups and downs with this character but I always saw her as a dark tunnel but also the light at the end of the tunnel,” she said.
Thanking Star Plus, Rajan Shahi, and the production house, she expressed gratitude for trusting her with such an important role. She also acknowledged her fans who had been eagerly waiting for her comeback post-leap. “I won’t be coming back as Ruhi, but as Garvita, I hope you’ll love me forever,” she concluded.
