Actor Dinesh Phadnis, known for his portrayal of Fredericks on the iconic show CID, breathed his last on the night of December 4th at a Mumbai hospital. The 57-year-old actor had been undergoing treatment at Tunga Hospital and was on ventilator support due to a damaged liver.
Contrary to earlier reports suggesting a heart attack, Dinesh’s CID co-star, Dayanand Shetty, clarified that the late actor did not suffer a heart attack. Speaking to Etimes, Shetty confirmed the news of Phadnis’ demise, stating, “Yes, it’s true; he is no more. It happened around 12:08 AM. I am at his residence right now. His last rites will be conducted today at the Daulat Nagar crematorium. Almost everyone from CID is present right now.”
