Popular TV actress Niyati Joshi, who portrayed the role of Swarna in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for the past six years, has now quit the show. The actress took to Instagram to share a farewell note as she marked the end of her long journey with the iconic daily soap.
In her Instagram Stories, Niyati wrote, “They say that nothing in life lasts forever. It’s time to bid an emotional farewell to my character Swarna in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after 6 glorious years. The countless memories, beautiful friendships, and the respect and adulation it brought me will last a lifetime. DKP will always remain my 2nd home. Not easy to say goodbye to something that was so close to my heart. YRKKH, I will miss you.”
She further expressed gratitude to the entire team, adding, “Thank you so much Rajan sir, the entire team of DKP, the Star Plus network, the super crew of YRKKH, my great directors, DOPs, and my beautiful co-stars. I shall remain eternally grateful to all of you for the wonderful times. A big thank you to all the fans and well-wishers who showed immense love towards my character.”
Looking ahead to new opportunities, Niyati wrote, “As I begin a new chapter of my life, I once again feel like a fresher; eager to learn and explore. To all the wonderful casting directors, please DM me for anything you deem worthy of me. Thank you.”
The actress did not reveal the reason behind her exit.
Niyati Joshi had joined Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2019, replacing Parul Chauhan as Swarna during the show’s second generation, which starred Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan in lead roles. The show is currently in its fourth generation with Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit as the main leads.
