An actor should always be ready to take up challenging roles and keep exploring their skills.
We have seen TV actress Farhina Parvez in bubbly and innocent roles in popular daily soaps like ‘Waaris’, ‘Qubool Hai’ and ‘Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga’. Now the actress has tried her hands on something very new and challenging in her acting career and she hopes to win the love of audience yet again.
In a candid conversation with ItsEZone.com, Farhina reveals more about her role and shooting for her upcoming show ‘Rishton Ka Manjha’ on Zee TV.
Revealing more details about her role, Farhina told us, “Its a negative character. It is quite challenging for me because I have never played a negative role in my acting career. I was always offered simple and innocent characters because of my looks. Its been on my mind since the beginning that I won’t do any negative role in my career but it was all because of our producer Mr. Susanta Das that I agreed to do this role. This is going to be the first Hindi show of our producer. I have known him since childhood and he was able to convince me for doing this role, with his way of narration. Its only because of him that I got the power and courage to agree on doing this role.”
“Niharika (Farhina’s character name) is someone who keeps plotting and planning and keeps a control on family members. Its a challenging role for me and I am giving my 100%. I want to break stereotypes by playing this role. People are liking the promo and I am sure that they will shower their love to the story too. Its a very nice and unique story,” added Farhina.
We quizzed the actress about the preparations she had to do to get into the skin of the role. She shared, “I got help from Sridevi ji’s role from the film ‘Judaai’ as my role in this series is little bit similar to that. She was not negative in the movie but was greedy. I wanted to do some research on the role when I was offered. Sridevi Ji’s role from that film immediately got clicked in my mind. She was a great artist and we all miss her a lot. I watched the film, hoping to learn something from her.”
‘Rishton Ka Manjha’ has its shoot location setup in Kolkata. Farhina is elated to shoot in the ‘City of Joy’ which is her hometown. Sharing her joy with us, she said, “I am born and bought up in Kolkata. Its very warming that I got an opportunity to shoot in my hometown after such a long time. Mumbai is my ‘Jaan’ and Kolkata is my second ‘Jaan’. I am so attached to this city. It feels so nice that now I have an opportunity to spend time with my family and meet my cousins in Kolkata. I will also explore the city after a long time.”
