The grand premiere of The 50 aired on Sunday, February 1, and the high-intensity reality show wasted no time delivering drama. Fifty contestants entered the Lion’s arena to compete for survival inside the Lion’s Palace for 50 days. However, before they could even step inside the palace, the show announced its first eviction. Popular YouTuber and IRL streamer Vanshaj Singh became the first contestant to exit the game.
First Challenge and Captains’ Big Decision
The Lion divided the 50 contestants into 10 groups of five. Two groups competed against each other, and after the task, 25 contestants secured safety while 25 landed in the unsafe zone. Later, a musical chair round saved 15 more contestants, leaving 10 in the danger zone.
The Lion then gave special power to the five winning captains – Karan Patel, Shiv Thakare, Krishna Shroff, Prince Narula, and Mr Faisu. They had to eliminate one contestant from the 10 unsafe players. After discussion, they chose Vanshaj Singh, stating that he had the least interaction with others.

Vanshaj did not agree with the decision. During his reaction, he called Karan Patel “moti buddhi” and questioned how anyone could judge interaction within just one day. He also addressed Karan as “uncle” and asked him to use his mind while playing the game.
Vanshaj said he comes from outside the TV industry and did not get enough time to bond with contestants. He explained that he wanted to give his 100 percent and gradually open up inside the palace. He also claimed that the contestants did not want an outsider among them.
Emotional Exit and Contestant Reactions
Before leaving, Vanshaj thanked everyone and said he played the game fairly. Actress Urvashi Dholakia hugged him and revealed that he was the only one who helped her.
With Vanshaj Singh’s shocking elimination, the remaining 49 contestants now gear up for 49 intense days. The 50 has clearly set the tone for a dramatic and unpredictable season ahead.
