Sharad Kelkar has been finalized as the main lead in Prateek Sharma’s upcoming TV show Tum Se Tum Tak. Earlier, names like Karan Singh Grover, Ashish Chowdhry, and Sharad Malhotra were speculated for the role. However, after much consideration, the makers have chosen Sharad Kelkar for the part.
A source close to the show revealed to ETimes that the makers had seriously considered Karan Singh Grover and others for the role. However, they ultimately found Sharad Kelkar to be the perfect choice due to his versatility and mature appeal. His experience in portraying complex characters gave him an advantage.
Niharika Chouksey has been roped in as the female lead. She has been a part of popular shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Faltu. She was last seen in Dangal TV’s Aaina – Roop Nahin, Haqeeqat Bhi Dikhaye. The makers are also excited about his pairing with Niharika Chouksey and believe their on-screen chemistry will be well-received by the audience.
Sharad Kelkar rose to fame with Saat Phere and has been part of shows like Uttaran, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, and Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai. He has also impressed audiences in web series like The Family Man and Special OPS, along with films like Tanhaji, Bhediya, and Sky Force.
The shooting for Tum Se Tum Tak will begin soon, with the show expected to air around the IPL season.
