ALTBalaji’s Dev DD 2 was a much-awaited show after the season finale of the first season. The gorgeous Rumana Molla, who plays Radha in ALTBalaji’s Dev DD 2, was injured during one of the fight sequences. It turns out during a short fight sequence where the ladies were being “thrown out of the house”, a fellow artist accidentally shoved her into a camera, causing her to hit her head on the camera flap injuring her forehead.
Rumana finished the shoot with a bandage wrapped around her head which had to be edited in the final scene. The accident and her finishing the shoot despite it make her just as badass as the protagonist Devika. The cast and crew have also always been very supportive of each other, making her job more manageable.
“It was a different experience for sure, I did things I never thought I would be able to. The love for the show and character was an incentive to keep pushing and finally finish what I started, with a smile on my face. I am happy with how it all turned out to be. I am also happy with what the series and my character looks like,” says Rumana.
Dev DD 2 shows a different angle this time in the life of Devika Dharam Dwivedi. Heartbroken, lost, confused, not a version we have seen before but before long, she bounces back, bigger, better, and stronger than ever, fighting off all kinds of evil in society, working towards making the world a better place in her own crazy, adorable way along with her loved ones.
The show’s talented star cast includes Asheema Vardaan, Sanjay Suri, Nauheed Cyrusi, Aman Uppal, Rashmi Agdekar, Suneel Sinha, and Deepika Amin Deshpande, amongst others. The series is directed by the talented Harsh Dedhia.
