Rise And Fall Season 2 witnessed a mid-week eviction this week, with Raj Grover and Kaira Anu bidding farewell to the reality show. After his exit, Raj shared a video on social media in which he discussed his journey, addressed viewers’ criticism and explained his equation with fellow contestants.
During his journey, some of his co-contestants and several viewers called Raj, Siwet Tomar’s ‘chamcha‘ and later accused him of blindly following Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. He also faced questions about Gautam Gulati’s behaviour towards him. Raj finally addressed these topics and shared his side of the story.
Raj began by thanking everyone who voted for and supported him. He admitted that he found it difficult to believe that he fell behind in the voting, considering the number of messages his family received from supporters. However, he said he did not want to play the victim.
Addressing the claims that he acted as Siwet’s sidekick, Raj explained that he considered Siwet a good friend and never allowed him to influence his decisions. He also clarified that he did not know he would win the race or get the responsibility of sending three challengers to the basement.
Raj then responded to viewers calling him Priyanka’s sidekick. He explained that contestants naturally develop friendships when they spend 24 hours together. He also claimed that he often advised Priyanka about the game and shared strategies with her. According to Raj, their age difference and Priyanka’s outspoken nature made viewers feel that he always followed her instructions.
Raj also addressed the bullying allegations involving Gautam Gulati. He explained that he treated Gautam like an elder brother because Gautam often referred to him as his younger brother. Raj compared their bond to his relationship with his elder siblings, who frequently tease him.
However, Raj admitted that he should not have treated the reality show like real life. He realised after watching the episodes that he needed to take a stronger stand instead of remaining quiet during certain situations.
Despite the disagreements, Raj said he had no grudges against anyone. He also praised his bond with Priyanka, Karan Patel and Swara Bhasker, and called wild card contestant Jashwanth Bopanna one of the most genuine contestants he met on the show.
Raj concluded by saying that Rise And Fall Season 2 taught him valuable lessons about himself, and he hopes to improve in his future reality show appearances.
