Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has stunned fans with his massive body transformation for his upcoming role as freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the movie ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.’
Taking to Instagram, Hooda shared a shirtless mirror selfie revealing his extremely skinny physique, captioned ‘Kala Paani,’ hinting at his portrayal of Savarkar’s imprisonment in the Cellular Jail.
Fans lauded his dedication, comparing him to Hollywood actor Christian Bale, known for his transformative roles. One fan wrote – “Nailed it. Christian Bale of Bollywood.” Another fan commented – “You did this for Sarabjit also hatts off to you for this huge respect.” Fans also tagged him as ‘Perfectionist.’
This isn’t Hooda’s first transformation; he previously shed 18 kilos in just 28 days for his role in ‘Sarbjit.’
Directed and co-written by Randeep Hooda in collaboration with Utkarsh Naithani, โSwatantrya Veer Savarkarโ is a production of Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Randeep Hooda Films, in association with Legend Studios and Avak Films. The film not only features Randeep in the titular role but also marks his directorial debut.
The film will release in theatres on March 22, 2024.
