Actor Randeep Hooda recently marked the one-year completion of his film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar by sharing behind-the-scenes photos and clips on Instagram. The actor, who not only played the lead role but also co-wrote, directed, and produced the film, reflected on the challenges he faced during its making.
In a heartfelt post, Randeep revealed that he suffered a knee fracture while filming an intense horse-riding sequence. Despite the injury, he continued shooting, pushing through the physical pain. He also recalled the emotional and physical struggles he endured, including his extreme weight loss journey for the role.
Sharing his thoughts, Randeep wrote, โ3 years ago, I embarked on an unforgettable journey with Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, which released on this day last year, a film that changed me in ways I never imagined. From co-writing, directing, producing, to playing the role of Veer Savarkar, it was a labor of love, passion, and sacrifice. The physical pain of shooting with a fractured knee, the emotional highs and lows, and the grueling weight loss journey all shaped this experience.”
He expressed gratitude to his friends, cast, and crew for their support, even humorously mentioning how they tolerated him as a โhangryโ director. He wrote – “Yet, what truly made it special was the immense love and support I received from my friends, cast, and crewโwho stood by me, even when I was a โhangryโ director.
