We often get to hear about fire mishaps on shoot locations. So it is quite important to educate the cast and crew about all the safety measures to be taken in case of any emergency.
Producer Rajan Shahi (Directors Kut Productions) recently organized a fire drill on the sets of his shows Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The fire drills were held at both units and the cast and crew actively took part in it.
Rajan says, โBasically, itโs very important that unwarranted and unexpected emergencies and fatalities are handled well. Anything can happen with the best of conditions. It’s important that every unit member should be educated and know that how they should react and take steps in case of an unfortunate or unexpected situation.”
“I think educating the unit is the most important thing and the safety of the unit also depends on the unit by itself. So, the unit had to actively take part in it. I am very happy that Kartik (Mohsin Khan), Naira (Shivangi Joshi), Abir (Shaheer Sheikh), Mishti (Rhea Sharma) and all the other actors took an active part and showed keen interest not only to educate themselves but the entire unit,โ added Shahi.
In fact, the unit also asked questions from the experts to make sure they are very clear on how to react in these situations.
