Popular TV and Bollywood couple Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth welcomed their second child, a baby girl, in June and have now revealed her name through a beautiful video from her naamkaran (naming) ceremony.
Ishita and Vatsal already have a son, Vaayu, who recently turned two. With the arrival of their daughter, their family is now complete and full of love.
Just a month after the birth of their daughter, Ishita and Vatsal took to social media to share a special video from her traditional naming ceremony. The couple followed the same ritual that was performed during the naamkaran of their firstborn. In the video, Vatsal is seen lovingly holding his baby girl and taking her to the place where the ceremony is held.
Later, the baby is gently placed in a cloth and lovingly swung by Ishita, Vatsal, and close family members while they sing a traditional Gujarati naming song — “Holi joli peepal paan… ben ehh paadyu VEDA naam.”
Vatsal and Ishita Daughter Name Meaning
The couple has named their daughter Veda, a beautiful Sanskrit name that means knowledge or wisdom. The name also has deep cultural and spiritual significance as it is associated with the sacred Hindu scriptures — the Vedas.

Ishita Dutta recently shared a beautiful reel capturing special memories from her second pregnancy journey. The video includes beautiful moments — from her pregnancy days, the emotional moments just before delivery, to the first time she held her baby girl in her arms, and finally bringing her home.

Ishita and Vatsal’s New Projects
On the professional front, Ishita Dutta was last seen in the blockbuster Drishyam 2 alongside Ajay Devgn and the TV show Thoda Sa Baadal Thoda Sa Paani. Vatsal Sheth appeared in Adipurush and also made a cameo in Star Plus’s daily soap Titlie.
Currently, both stars are focused on embracing their parenthood journey and spending quality time with their little ones, Vaayu and Veda.
