Actor Gashmeer Mahajani recently faced a tragic loss as his father, veteran actor Ravindra Mahajani, aged 77, was found dead in his flat.
The police suspect that he may have passed away three days prior, as the discovery was made after neighbors complained about a foul smell emanating from the residence where the late actor lived alone. The body was subsequently recovered and sent for postmortem examination.
While Gashmeer has been receiving words of support and prayers from his fans, some netizens have criticized him for allegedly not staying in touch with his father and leaving him alone during this phase of his life.
Responding to the online criticism and backlash, Gashmeer took to his social media account to break his silence. In a heartfelt post, he expressed, ‘Let’s let a Star be a Starโฆ Me and my fellow people will ensure that by being silent. If that brings hate and abuse to me/us, we are welcoming it more than anything. The loss of his father has undoubtedly been a challenging time for the actor and he seeks solace and strength during this period of mourning.
