To make the event bigger, multitalented Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurana and actress Nushrat Bharucha showed their support for the sport on KBD Live; VIVO Pro Kabaddi League’s pre-show on 7th September 2019 as home team Bengal Warriors went against Gujarat Fortunegiants.
Ayushmann Khurana talking about the sport on the preshow of VIVO Pro Kabaddi League – KBD Live on Star Sports, said “Kabaddi is India’s sport and is strongly rooted in this nation. Previously, it was only played for fun but now with the introduction of the Pro Kabaddi League it is played at a professional level.
Players can now make a career out of the sport, when I heard about the auctions where the highest bid was for 1.5 crore, I was awestruck. I never imagined the sport to reach this level and am extremely proud about it.”
