The Bigg Boss 19 house is witnessing back-to-back drama, and this time, the spotlight is on the very first captain of the season, Kunickaa Sadanand, who has shockingly resigned from her captaincy.
The issue started during a task where contestants were asked to name one housemate who has leadership qualities and another who behaves like a follower. Kunickaa took Tanya Mittal’s name for leadership quality instead of Baseer Ali, who had strongly supported her during the captaincy task.
Baseer was visibly upset with her choice and confronted her, saying, “I sacrificed for you. What makes you give such a statement in front of everyone that I don’t have leadership qualities?”
Kunickaa explained that while Baseer does have leadership skills, he gets easily triggered, which makes it difficult for him to maintain control. Baseer quickly countered, “Don’t you also get triggered?” He went on to call Kunickaa “unfit” to be a leader and accused her of flipping sides often, saying, “Earlier you were fine with Gaurav Khanna, then you turned against him. You fight with someone in the morning and become friendly by evening.”
The argument escalated further when Baseer declared, “Today you proved that you don’t deserve to be a leader in this house.” This prompted Kunickaa to announce, “Okay, I am resigning from captaincy. You can choose your own captain.”
Later, Kunickaa was seen addressing the camera, stating her reasons. She admitted, “I resigned from captaincy because everyone feels I shouldn’t be the captain. They think I have attitude, I become aggressive, and I get triggered. If they believe this, then I don’t want to force myself as a leader.” She further added that while she would cook for Tanya and Neelam, she would no longer cook for the entire house.
Interestingly, Kunickaa had won her captaincy after a tough battle against Ashnoor Kaur and Abhishek Bajaj. With Baseer as her representative, she managed to win the task after he even clashed physically with Abhishek to protect her position. However, Baseer now feels betrayed after Kunickaa overlooked him in favor of Tanya.
With Kunickaa stepping down, the captaincy crown is once again up for grabs, and all eyes are on who will become the next leader inside the Bigg Boss 19 house.
