Bigg Boss 19 has finally reached its dramatic conclusion, and television actor Gaurav Khanna has emerged as the winner of the season. The grand finale was a glittering affair filled with excitement, emotions and unexpected turns. All the evicted contestants returned on the finale stage, cheering for their favorite housemates one last time.
This season’s Top 5 finalists were Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Pranit More, Gaurav Khanna and Farhana Bhatt. The first eviction of the night was composer Amaal Mallik, followed by Tanya Mittal. Pranit More finished in the third position after getting evicted later in the night. This left Gaurav Khanna and Farhana Bhatt as the top two contenders of Bigg Boss 19. The tension peaked when both were called on stage for the final result, where Gaurav was declared as season’s winner by host Salman Khan.
Gaurav Khanna’s victory is particularly inspiring, considering his journey inside the house and in his acting career. The actor, known for his roles in ‘Love Ne Mila Di Jodi’, ‘Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam’, and many other shows, faced a low phase professionally before making a strong comeback in 2021 with the highly loved character Anuj Kapadia in Anupamaa. The show changed his career trajectory and reintroduced him as a household name.
His winning streak continued when he lifted the trophy of Celebrity MasterChef, proving his versatility beyond acting. Inside Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav was often accused of playing from the backfoot and not participating enough in tasks. However, he silenced all critics by becoming the first finalist of the season after winning the Ticket to Finale. Bigg Boss even rewarded him with the captaincy that he had been waiting for since the beginning of the show.
Adding to his emotional journey, Gaurav’s wife Akanksha Chamola visited him during the family week and was present on the finale night to celebrate his memorable win.
