Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is beaming with pride as his son Abhishek Bachchan continues to impress audiences with his powerful performances. Abhishek’s last three films – I Want to Talk, Housefull 5, and his latest release Kaalidhar Lapata – have been appreciated for his versatility and dedication to each character.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Amitabh Bachchan shared an appreciation note in Hindi for Abhishek. He wrote, “Ek saal mein tumne teen filmein banayi – I Want to Talk, Housefull 5, Kaalidhar Lapata… Aur teeno mein aisa performance diya jo bilkul alag tha, alag alag kirdaar; kahin bhi nahi laga ki yeh Abhishek Bachchan hai, nahi… har ek mein laga ki bas yahi kirdaar hai. Aaj ke zamaane mein aisa dekhna alag baat hai. Usse sweekar karna aur itni khoobsurti se nibhaana – Abhishek, yeh gun tumne duniya ko dikha diya! Dil se ashirwad aur bahut saara pyaar. Haan haan haan! Tum mere beta ho, aur mujhe tumhari tareef karne se koi nahi rok sakta. Aur abhi saal ka the end bhi nahi hua hai, pata nahi aur kya kya gun dikhaoge!!!”
In English, his note reads – “In one year, you made three films – I Want to Talk, Housefull 5, Kaalidhar Lapata… And in all three, such performances that were completely different, unique characters; never once did it feel like this is Abhishek Bachchan, no… in each one, it felt like this is truly that character. Seeing this in today’s times is something rare. To accept it and to portray it so powerfully – Abhishek, you have shown the world this quality! My heartfelt blessings and lots of love to you. Yes, yes, yes! You are my son, and no one can stop me from praising you. And the year isn’t even over yet, who knows what other talents you will show us!!!”
