Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) producer Asit Kumarr Modi has reacted to the recent incident involving a 16-year-old boy who left his home in Madhya Pradesh with dreams of becoming an actor. The teenager reached Mumbai and told the police that he wanted to pursue an acting opportunity in the popular television show.
Police found the boy wandering alone at Film City in Goregaon. After receiving information, a mobile unit took him to Aarey police station for inquiry. During questioning, the teenager revealed that he studied in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to his statement, the boy left home on Thursday afternoon on the pretext of going to school. Instead, he travelled from Chhindwara to Nagpur by train and then boarded another train to Mumbai. He reached Goregaon the following morning and walked towards Film City.
The boy’s father confirmed to the police that his son had gone missing. The teenager currently remains safe with the Aarey police, while his father has travelled to Mumbai to bring him home.
Reacting to the incident, Asit Kumarr Modi shared a long note on social media and addressed young fans who dream of entering the entertainment industry.
Modi encouraged youngsters to dream big and follow their passion but stressed the importance of education, safety and parental support. He urged young aspiring actors not to take risky steps that could put them in danger or leave their families worried.
“Your education, your safety and the trust of your parents must always come first,” Asit wrote. He also asked young fans to discuss their dreams with their parents and pursue opportunities through “the right and responsible channels.”
The TMKOC producer further highlighted the show’s history of nurturing young artistes and giving opportunities to new talent. He said talent can find opportunities when combined with preparation, patience and the right approach.
Asit also clarified that anyone who wishes to work on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah should approach the show’s official casting team through appropriate channels, with the knowledge and support of parents or guardians.
He concluded his message with a simple reminder: “Sapne zaroor dekho… unhe poora bhi karo. Bas sahi raaste se.”
