TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has finally taken a bold step against the hateful trolls who have been attacking her 7-month-old son, Joy, on social media. The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya fame actress has filed an official complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell after facing continuous online abuse for her baby’s skin tone and her interfaith marriage.
Recently, Devoleena shared a series of disturbing comments that trolls had posted, targeting her son and calling him names like “jihadi” and “terrorist.” In a powerful message on her Instagram Stories, she called out the haters and urged her followers to report such profiles.
“Let’s heal and treat them the way they deserve to troll a 7 month old for the complex and interfaith marriage. Request you all to share the screenshots of any trolls and their profile in my DM. I will lodge an official complaint soon.” she wrote.
In another story, she warned the trolls who had deleted their accounts, saying:
“Many of you deleted your filthy accounts. The rest, just wait. But don’t run. How far can you go? Remember karma.”
Devoleena also posted screenshots of her chats with the cyber police, who confirmed they’ve warned the offenders and assured that strict action will be taken if such trolling continues. A few users have already apologized for their actions, and Devoleena shared those apology messages to set an example.

Her strong stand has earned her support from fans and fellow celebrities. Actress Dalljiet Kaur praised her move and wrote: “Strong mommy Devoleena. Well done. Tightest hug to the little one and a tight hug from one mother to another.”
Devoleena married her longtime boyfriend and fitness trainer Shahnawaz Shaikh in December 2022. The couple welcomed their baby boy, Joy, on December 18, 2024.
By speaking out, Devoleena is setting a strong example for all mothers who face online hate, showing that silence is not the answer and legal action is always an option.
