Bollywood’s power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are currently busy preparing their luxurious ₹250 crore bungalow in Mumbai, which is now in its final stage of construction. The couple, along with Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, is often spotted at the site to check on the progress. While pictures and videos of their under-construction home frequently go viral, the latest round of leaked visuals has not gone down well with Alia Bhatt.
The actress took to her social media to strongly condemn the paparazzi and publications for recording and circulating videos of her private residence without consent. In her statement, Alia wrote, “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited – sometimes the view from your window is another person’s home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online. A video of our home – still under construction – has been recorded and circulated by multiple publications, without our knowledge or consent. This is a clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue. Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not ‘content’ – it’s a violation.”
She further urged fans and media houses to take down the content.
Soon after Alia’s post, fans and celebrities came out in support of her. One fan commented, “Privacy comes first always,” while another wrote, “You are absolutely right, they must respect your personal space.” However, a few users disagreed, stating that being public figures makes it difficult for celebrities to completely avoid such situations.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s new bungalow has been one of the most talked-about star residences in Mumbai. While fans are excited to see the couple’s dream home, Alia’s strong stance on privacy has sparked a wider conversation about respecting personal boundaries, even for celebrities.
