Actress Nidhi Shah, who has charmed audiences as Kinjal, affectionately called Kinju Baby, in Anupamaa, has officially announced her exit from the hit TV show. As Anupamaa takes a major 15-years generation leap, many original cast members are exiting, including Nidhi. This comes after actors Nishi Saxena and Gaurav Sharma also revealed their plans to leave the show.
Nidhi took to Instagram to share a heartfelt farewell, reflecting on her journey with the character and the show. Posting a video of her memorable moments as Kinjal, she wrote, “With a heavy heart, I say goodbye to Kinju baby. After four and a half unforgettable years, it’s time for me to bid farewell to my beloved character and the phenomenal show, Anupamaa.” She expressed deep gratitude to the show’s creator Rajan Shahi, the production team, her co-stars, and her loyal fans.
In her emotional note, Nidhi expressed how honored she felt to be part of a show that has been number one on Indian television and thanked her fans for their support. She described this as a bittersweet moment, acknowledging that although it’s difficult to move on, she is excited for new opportunities ahead.
Co-stars who have previously left the show, like Paras Kalnawat, Tassnim Nerurkar, and Aashish Mehrotra, shared their well-wishes for Nidhi. Fans have also poured love into the comment section, saying they will miss seeing her on screen and wishing her luck in her future projects.
