The 72nd National Film Awards brought a proud moment for the Ganguly family as choreographer Vijay Ganguly won the Best Choreography award for the hit song Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2. Soon after the winners’ announcement, Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly shared an emotional note on social media to celebrate her brother’s big achievement.
Rupali posted an Instagram reel featuring Vijay Ganguly’s winning announcement and expressed her pride in a long caption. She wrote, “From being a National Award-winning director’s daughter to being a National Award-winning choreographer’s sister… I am the proudest. Aaj Ki Raat is outstanding choreography and getting national recognition for this is so well deserved.”
The actress also revealed that their mother had predicted Vijay’s victory long before the awards. She shared, “Mummy kept saying you will win the National Award for Aaj Ki Raat and she absolutely manifested it.”
Rupali praised her brother for his dedication and hard work over the years. She spoke about the struggles, disappointments, and setbacks he faced before achieving this milestone. She added that despite every challenge, Vijay always kept his smile and remained humble, kind, and grateful.
Remembering their late father, filmmaker Anil Ganguly, Rupali said he always taught them to stay honest, humble, and dedicated to their work. She thanked Vijay for making the Ganguly family proud and wished him many more achievements in the future.
