Popular content creator Ashish Chanchlani has shared an important update about his hit YouTube series Ekaki.
After releasing four episodes, Ashish had planned to drop Ekaki Chapter 5 on January 30 but unfortunately it got delayed. The YouTuber revealed the real reason behind the delay in the release of Ekaki Chapter 5, which fans eagerly awaited.
Ashish Chanchlani Reveals Reason for Ekaki Chapter 5 Delay
Ashish took to his Instagram story section to explain the situation directly to his audience. He wrote, “Dosto, I thought I will share this to you all, cause I know you will always support and understand… Ekaki Chapter 5 was supposed to drop tomorrow 30th Jan and I had planned a lot of surprises for you all.”
He then revealed the shocking reason behind the delay. “As fate has it (and kisi ki nazar), we lost 20% of our VFX footages in a hard drive. 6 months of our hard work and team’s relentless effort has gone in vain.”

Ashish admitted that the sudden loss created panic within the team. He added, “We are trying to resolve the issue and finding a solution. In these panicky times I hope you all will understand us (and as usual be patient, kyunki uski aadat toh hai hi tum logo ko).”
He further shared that he told his team, “Janta se jaake kahenge toh woh samjhegi.” Ashish reassured fans with a promise, saying, “Toh bas intezaar kar lo thoda, humara promise hai we’ll deliver (and haan it will be worth it).”
In another update, he added, “Nazar is real… koi na we’ll be back.”
Ekaki Series Journey So Far
Ekaki premiered on November 27, 2025, on Ashish’s YouTube channel ACV Studios. The latest episode aired on January 5, 2026. The series has received strong responses for its gripping story line and high production value.
Ashish Chanchlani is the writer, director, producer, and lead actor of Ekaki. Akash Dodeja plays the parallel lead, while Kunal Chhabhria joins the project as co-producer.
